For the second year running, the Children and Family Centre’s ‘Little Summer Fair’ has been a great success. Thanks to a team of volunteers from Barclays and the efforts of Independent Options’ staff and volunteers, local children and families enjoyed an afternoon of fun and games, including face painting, hook a duck, bric a brac and toy sales. Over £500 was raised to support the work of the Centre, providing inclusive play opportunities and family support.Children and Family Centre Manager Nicky Jones said “We were delighted that so many of our families came along, and we were helped out by a great team of volunteers….and the good weather! We are very grateful to the team from Barclays for helping us and every penny we raised from the event will be used to support children with disabilities and their families.”
