Youngsters at the Children and Family Centre celebrated Chinese New Year this week, making their own traditional Chinese lanterns, paper dragons, and baking!
The children, who came along to our Tuesday After30School Club, got stuck in colouring the lanterns and sticking them together. The group also made paper dragons, colouring in the head and tail, and creating the body from a concertina of brightly coloured paper.
They also had fun baking jam tarts, mixing the pastry and making sure they were topped off with strawberry or raspberry jam.
After School Club runs every Tuesday for 8-13 year olds from 3.30 – 5.30pm, and every Wednesday for children aged 4-8 years.
